About BEETEES in Nelson

Over the last few months, a large number of you have become new BEETEES CARD HOLDERS. In light of this it is perhaps timely to outline who we are, what we are about, and what we wish to achieve.

BEETEES is wholly owned by Lorraine and Glen Beattie; originally opening in Motueka in 2005 with the purchase of H & J Smiths department store. The Nelson store followed; opening in Bridge Street in 2010. In late 2014 we moved the Nelson store to its present site in Trafalgar Street, and in early 2015 closed Motueka.

Our vision hasn’t changed since we opened….. that is to offer QUALITY women’s fashions at the best possible price, with the best possible service.

To enable this to happen, we belong to a buying group that has developed labels based on fashion trends in Europe and to a lesser extent North America. Our buyers travel extensively to both these areas at least twice a year, ensuring we offer up to date women’s fashions that are both edgy and have that point of difference.

Lorraine is involved with with the final selection and minor changes we make in the design of the finished product. These labels… ASSIGN, FOIL, MEMO, ESPLANADE, and PREEN make up about 2/3rds of our collections.

We pride ourselves, that at all times we offer a quality product, with our personal guarantee on that quality. However in saying that we also understand the need for our fashion collections to be offered at the best possible price we can. We constantly monitor our prices and know that we are consistently cheaper than those offering a similar product… come in; have a look, and compare our prices!!!!!
